RE: Deck- 1265 Brackets Point Road
Dear Mr. O'Shaughnessy:
On November 19, 2003 this office issued a demolition permit to remove principal and accessory
structures at the above referenced property. On final inspection of the demo the field inspector
noted that a deck on the lakeshore was not removed. Leaving this deck is a violation of the
Orono Municipal Code that does not allow accessory structures without a principal structure. As
part of the demo permit issuance process the city prepared a zoning disclosure and declaration
form. This form notified you of the code requirement. You signed this form to acknowledge
receipt of the information.
This letter is to require removal of the deck. A deadline of January 26, 2004 has been
established. If this deadline is not met the city may initiate legal action. If you have any
