Descriptive Summary of the Proposed Project and location:
This proposal involves installation of riprap and possible dredging or filling of an area on Casco Pt.
Recommendation(&) made (use reverse side and additional sheets as needed):
This area was inspected on 10/10/86. A new house is being constructed on the site and an area of
purple loosestrife 75' along shore by 35' shoreward has already been cleared. Chemical control of
the remaining loosestrife should be encouraged or required as mitigation for any shoreline or
lakebed alteration.
The bay area containing waterlily beds should be left as undi-sturbed, as possible. Any dredging for
access purposes shoula be allowed only on the south end of the proper*Nr. Dredging of the area
where the loosestrife has been cut is mainly a wildlife concern, however, the applicant should know
that if this area is dredged it will probably collect debris floating along shore.
