Please be advised that I have been retained by
M. D. Barrett and other residents of Casco Point
in support of their protest against any Council
action which will permit the use of Casco Point
Lodge for a rest home.
In talking to the Assistant City Clerk today I
was advised that there is no action scheduled
on this matter for the Council meeting set for
September 11, 1961; and accordingly, neither I
nor my clients will appear.
However, I wish to be informed of any hearing on
this proposed ordinance or amendment of ordinance
in ample time before any final action is taken,
so that I and my clients can appear in opposition
thereto.
I understand that a petition will be circulated
protesting this action, but in addition we would
like the opportunity of an oral presentation
against this proposed action./,'
