Dear Crystal Bay Resident:
The sanitary sewer project in the Crystal Bay area was
completed, inspected and accepted on June 11, 1986. There are
some restoration items yet to be completed.
If yaa have not already done so, you can connnect your
residence or business to the sanitary sewer main line.
The deadline for connection to the sewer main line is 16
months from June 11, 1985 or October 11, 1987.
A licensed contractor is required to :hake this type of
connection in the City of Orono.
The contractor must obtain a permit from the City prior to
any work being done.
The permit fee is $30.50. A Service Availability Charge
(SAC) of $475.00 must be paid before or at the time the permit is
issued. Be advised that the City of Orono is only the collection
agency for the SAC fee. The Metropolitan Waste Control
Commission actually receive:- these monies.
Some of you may have a.! ; Cady paid the SAC fee in advance.
For your information, your existing septic tank must be
pumped and filled with approved fill when connection to the sewer
main has been completed.
