Duane Glew Road South 55391 March 30, 1983 Dear Mr. and Mrs. Glew: This letter is to follow up my inspection of your septic system today. I hope the following comments and observations will be helpful to you. 1. The inside main floor plumbing leaves the house about 3'-4' below ground level. The se,ptic tank covers are about 6' below the surface and based on my inspection in 1981 the tanks are probably designed to have a 3-4' liquid depth. 2. The level of effluent in the two inspection pipe -- indicates that water is standing in the house sewer line, which will cause clogging of that line if the condition persists. 3. The reason for the "backup" of effluent above the tank covers is unknown at this point, but could be related to clogging of the cesspool seepage ports or in the drainfield (if one exists). I would suggest that when the ground dries out you uncover the tanks to determine their condition and the presence or absence of drainfield. At that time I will be happy to help you further evaluate what repairs to the system might be necessary and what procedure to follow. If you have any questions, please call me. Sincerely, Michae P.
