OFFICER WILLIAM "BILL" PERSELL
FOR HIS
SIXTEEN YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF ORONO AS POLICE OFFICER
RESOLUTION N0.6 0 0 9
WHEREAS, William "Bill" Persell was appointed to the position of Part-
Time Police Officer on November 11, 1994; and
WHEREAS, his sixteen years of service as Police Officer have been
characterized by exemplaxy dedication to providing the highest quality police
service to the city and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, he has served the community in a fair, respectful, honest,
trustworthy, and selfless manner; and
WHEREAS, William "Bill" Persell is retiring from his position as Police
Officer effective November 18, 2010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council
does hereby recognize and commend William "Bill" Persell for his dedicated
service to the community as Police Officer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does
hereby congratulate William "Bill" Persell on his retirement, and extends its best
wishes for a long,happy and healthy retirement.
Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting
held this 13th day of December, 2010.
