A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO JAMES M. WHITE FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AS MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBER RESOLUTION NO. 6015 WHEREAS, James M. White has served this community with distinction for many years in numerous capacities including six years as a Council Member and four yeaxs as Mayor of the City Council; and WHEREAS, he was appointed Mayor Pro Tem from 2004 through 2006 and has served on various committees and appointments including the Highway 12 Policy Committee, Long Lake Fire Commission, Police Advisory Commission, Dakota Rail Trail Committee, County Road 19 Trail Advisory Committee, Big Island Committee, Association of Metropolitan Municipalities Legislative Contact, Mayor's Association, and the Westonka Senior Citizens/Gillespie Center; and WHEREAS, his years of service have been marked by exemplary dedication to the best interests of the community; and , WHEREAS, he has earned the admiration and high regard of those with whom he has worked; and WHEREAS, the performance of his duties and responsibilities as a member of the City Council has been characterized by excellent and constructive contributions to the community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Orono does hereby express its sincere appreciation and thanks to James M. White for his distinguished service to the community and does also highly commend him for the manner in which he has carried out his duties and responsibilities. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council does hereby extend to James M. White best wishes for continued success in his future endeavors.
