A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF BWSR GRANT FOR THE
STUBBS BAY RAVINE STABILIZATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has been awarded a Clean Water Fund Shoreland
Improvement Grant (the Crrant) in the amount of$183,684 by the Minnesota Board of Water and
Soil Resources (BWSR) for funding of the Stubbs Bay Ravine Stabilization Project(the Project);
and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the Grant requires that the City enter into a Grant
Agreement between the City and BWSR; and
WHEREAS, a condition of Grant acceptance is that the City provide $45,921 in
matching funds for completion of the Proj ect; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept the Grant and proceed with
planning and execution of the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono,
Minnesota:
l. Assistant City Administrator Michael Gaffron is hereby designated as the Grantee's
Authorized representative with regards to administration of the Grant Agreement, and is
authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City.
2. The expenditure of$45,921 in matching funds from the Stormwater Utility Fund for the
Project is hereby authorized.
