Attention; Michael P. Gaffron, Septic System Inspector
Dear Mr. Gaffron,
I have received your letter of February 22, 1983. If you will
recall, I was to meet with you at my house with our sewer man.
I tried two or three different times to meet you there and you
were to let me know when you could arrange to meet me. You never
did call me back to make another appointment and that's why nothing
has been done. You mailed me some names of sewer experts that
I could hire to tell me what had to be done. It looked like just
for consultation, this would run between $500.00 and $2000.00.
I consider this a preposterous expense. I will be very happy
to work out something reasonable so that I may have a working
sectic tank system, but I will not try to make water run uphill.
I was on your planning commission for over three years. At that
time I suggested percolation tests, vhich were completely ignored.
The percolation tests v/ould have protected both the consumer and
the builder from expensive sewer svoterns or sevj>i systems that
would not work.
Until I meet you out at my property and we cun werx out some reasonable
solution of this, I will not take any action. I will be waiting
to hear from you in the future.
