HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-07-22 Letter, Lot VarianceJuly 22, 1966 Mr. Don Trowbridge Route 4S, Box S46 Wayzata, Minnesota Dear Mr. Trowbridge: I have been a little negligent in giving you the information from the last council meeting regarding your proposed dual residence on your lot, for which I apol6gize. It was the concensus of opinion at the meeting that if your lot would have been large enough, either one of your proposals would have been O.K., but since the status quo of the lot is substandard for a sub- division, it also is substandard for putting two residences on one lot. There was a great deal of recognition of the fine work you have dorm, in this community, which makes it very hard to relay this information to you, but when you get into an elite neighborhood like Bohns Point you have to tread very carefully. It is true, there are some lots on Bohns Point that do not Meet the minimum lot size of our present code, but on a careful check, I find that the last subdivision of lots this size was in 1951, long before our ordinance was changed, which was 1957.
