July 22, 1966
Mr. Don Trowbridge
Route 4S, Box S46
Wayzata, Minnesota
Dear Mr. Trowbridge:
I have been a little negligent in giving you the information from the
last council meeting regarding your proposed dual residence on your
lot, for which I apol6gize.
It was the concensus of opinion at the meeting that if your lot would
have been large enough, either one of your proposals would have been
O.K., but since the status quo of the lot is substandard for a sub-
division, it also is substandard for putting two residences on one lot.
There was a great deal of recognition of the fine work you have dorm,
in this community, which makes it very hard to relay this information
to you, but when you get into an elite neighborhood like Bohns Point
you have to tread very carefully.
It is true, there are some lots on Bohns Point that do not Meet the
minimum lot size of our present code, but on a careful check, I find
that the last subdivision of lots this size was in 1951, long before
our ordinance was changed, which was 1957.
Either our Administrator, Mr. Mixa, or myself,
you either our time or energy, that you could
still remain in the realms of our ordinances.
thing I can think of is and addition such as I
we have in the Village that enhanced the value
fold and still was very practical.
would gladly extend
achieve your goal and
Right now, the only
spoke of, one of which
of that property multi -
Again, I say, if you come up with any alternate solutions werare more
than willing to explore the possibilities with you.
Sincerely yours,
Mike Scheller
Village Inspector
MS/rd
