We see no need for this street <br />as the land is presently being used; however, we do not see any <br />particular advantage to the City by the vacating of this street. <br />It is presently being used by the property owner as if it were <br />his own property, and there is certainly no immediate threat of <br />the road being opened. However, with the vacation of the street <br />the ownership passes to the adjacent property owners, and if this <br />property were ever needed for roads, utilities, paths, etc., the <br />City %rould have to repurchase the property.
