� O� <br /> O ��� O CITY of ORONO <br /> :,��a�.- <br /> � � _�� � RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> �� ' �� �� N o. 6 1 4 9 <br /> ��kESH��`'� <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES <br /> FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION <br /> TO BE HELD AUGUST 14,2012 <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Election Law 204B.21 requires that persons serving as <br /> election judges be appointed by the City Council at least 25 days before the election; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Orono City Council hereby appoints the judges named on <br /> Exhibit A, hereto attached, as the official judges for the August 14, 2012 Primary Election, with <br /> the understanding that amendments may be necessary to the appointments in order to fill <br /> vacancies and meet party splits. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of <br /> Orono that the names listed on Exhibit A, hereto attached, are the official Election Judges for the <br /> City of Orono, Primary Election, August 14, 2012. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appointed Election Judges shall be paid <br /> $8.50 per hour, and Head Election Judges shall be paid$9.00 per hour, to carry out their duties at <br /> the polling place and to attend required training,plus shall be compensated for mileage to pick up <br /> election supplies or to deliver election returns at a rate allowed by the IRS (currently$.555 per <br /> mile)per State Statute 204B.31. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, at a regular meeting held <br /> June 25, 2012. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> . <br /> b����� � <br /> Linda S.
