A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING
OFFICER DAVID MCNICHOLS
FOR HIS TWENTY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE
TO THE CITY AS A POLICE OFFICER
RESOLUTION NO. 6225
WHEREAS, David McNichols was appointed to the position of Police Officer on
March 16, 1992; and
WHEREAS, David McNichols was the Orono School District Liaison Officer and
D.A.R.E officer for several years;
WHEREAS, his years of service as Police Officer have been characterized by his
dedication to providing the highest quality police service to the city and its citizens;
WHEREAS, David McNichols has provided service to the community in a fair,
respectful,honest, trustworthy, and selfless manner and;
WHEREAS, David McNichols is resigning from his position as Police Officer
effective May 13, 2013.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does
hereby recognize and commend David McNichols for his leadership, and dedicated service
to the community as Police Officer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does hereby extend
its best wishes to Officer David McNichols.
Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held this
13th day of May, 2013.
