A RESOLUTION TO DECLARE THAT THE
PART-TIME POSITION HELD BY
JOSHUA RAZE
IS THAT OF A POLICE OFFICER AS DEFINED
FOR PURPOSES OF PERA PENSION ELIGIBILITY
WHEREAS,that Public Employees Retirement Association Police and Fire Fund
excludes part-time police officers unless a resolution is adopted by the governing body to
authorize eligibility for coverage in the Police and Fire Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Orono,
Hennepin County, Minnesota that effective Apri121, 2014, the position Joshua Raze holds is that
of a police officer as defined in Minnesota Statutes, Section 353.64, pursuant to which said
employee shall become a member of the Public Employees Retirement Association Police and
Fire Fund.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held
April 14, 2014.

City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of
Orono, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall, in Orono, Minnesota, on Monday, April 14,
2014.
The following members were present: Mayor McMillan, Levang, Bremer
and the following were absent: Anderson, Printup

The Mayor announced that the meeting was convened for the purpose of conducting a
public hearing and considering a resolution regarding the abatement of the property tax levies of
certain properties located within the City pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.1812 to
469.1815.
