J �kESH��'� RESOLUTION APPROVING PAY PLAN ADJUSTMENTS FOR NON-UNION CITY EMPLOYEES FOR 2014 WHEREAS, the City Administrator is responsible for annually presenting a pay schedule for City employees, with the exception of employees covered by collective bargaining agreements: and WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been appropriated in the proposed 2014 Annual Budget to fund the recommended pay adjustments and such other matters of compensation as herein specified. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Orono City Council as follows: l. Each employee shall receive a 1.5% lump sum increase to their existing base pay. The lump sum payment is not intended to increase the base pay and at the end of 2014, employees' base salary will be the same as it was in 2013 if they did not receive a step increase. The lump sum increase shall be equally prorated throughout 2014. 2. That the wage scale be changed to include 8 steps with a starting step of 75%. 3. That the City's cafeteria benefit plan contribution be increased to the $1,090 per month for employees on family coverage, $915 for single (no cash) and $478.50 for waivers. 4. Those City employees using their own vehicles for approved work related business shall be compensated at a rate allowed by the IRS (.56 cents per mile).
