A RESOLUTION TO CREATE THE GOLF COURSE FUND,
A SPECIAL REVENUE FUND
WHEREAS, The City of Orono is generally authorized to accept donations of
real and personal property pursuant to Minnesota Sta.tutes Section 465.03 for the benefit
of its citizens, and is specifically authorized to accept gifts and bequests for the benefit of
recreational services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 471.17; and
WHEREAS, the City provides recreational services at the Orono Public Golf
Course; and
WHEREAS, both individuals and organizations have demonstrated a willingness
to donate labor, materials, and cash to the City for use at the golf course; and
WHEREAS, the creation of a Special Revenue Fund will simplify the accounting
for the cash donations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council, hereby
authorizes the creation of the Golf Course Fund, a Special Revenue Fund.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting
held October 14, 2013.
