SUPPORTING APPLICATION FOR HENNEPIN COUNTY'S
2014 SIDEWALK PARTICIPATION PROGRAM
FOR SIDEWALKS ALONG HENNEPIN COUNTY'S
CSAH 15 AND CSAH 19
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has identified the importance of sidewalk and pedestrian
movement throughout the community;
WHEREAS,the construction of safe and convenient pedestrian facilities near a
commercial area and parks will provide transportation access to potentially vulnerable users not
traveling by vehicle; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Orono performed an assessment of the sidewalk in the Navarre
area and found several areas where repairs need to be addressed;
WHEREAS, County funds will be used to supplement the cost of making repairs to the
sidewalk in the Navarre area;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, The City of Orono endorses the application
for funds as administered by Hennepin County.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held
October 14, 2013.
