Krutzig Grading
1655 Bohns Point
Dear Jeanne,
The following is a summary of the corrective grading work needed on the
Krutzig property at 1655 Bohns Point.
l. Retaining walls to be constructed a minimum of 6 ' from property line to
face of wall.
2. Drainage swales along property lines to be 0.5 ' lower than adjacent
neighbor's property at lot line and 3' in from lot line.
3. Drainage swale along driveway to be minimum of 1.0' lower than edge of
pavement surface and 5 ' from edge of driveway. •
4. Retaining wall base to be minimum of 1 ' below existing elevation at
property line.
5. Fill on lake side to be removed within 75' setback area.
6. Fill in back yard area to be removed to original grade. Grade to be
tapered from present grade at garage to match original grade 50' east
of garage.

Subject: Newman Residence at 1655 Bohns Point Road
Staff inet with Mr. Newman at the site on August lst. Mr. Newman reviewed his plans for the
renovation of his shoreline. Part of the improvement plan will involve the removal of the
existin� deck structure along with the removal of a small shed and paved walkway along
shoreline. Newman will propose a smaller deck area linking existing dock with higher
elevations to access stair. The deck structure will conform to the side setback and will be
reduced to approximately one-fourth of the size of the existing deck. ,
Newman was advised of the difficulty of obtaining variance approval for structures of this type
and the need to demonstrate hardship. He noted the application should be attractive as major
portions of hardcover will be removed and an ugly shed at the shoreline will be removed.
Newman plans to meet the deadline for filing for the September 21st meeting of the Planning
Commission. Mr. Newman also advised that he would be happy to discuss his improvement
plan with anyone who may have an interest in his property.
