A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 113,Third Series
BY TIT�E AND SUMMARY

WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Orono has adopted Ordinance No. 112, an
ordinance adopting and amending the cable television franchise granted by the Lake Minnetonka
Communications Commission; and
WHEREAS,Minnesota Statutes § 412.191, subdivision 4, allows publication by title and
summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and
WHEREAS,the ordinance is 45 pages in length; and
WHEREAS,the City Council believes that the following summary would clearly inform
the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono that
the Mayor and City Administrator sha11 cause the following Summary of Ordinance No. 113 to be
published in the official newspaper in lieu of the ordinance in its entirety:
Public Notice
The City Council of the City of Orono has adopted Ordinance No. 110,an ordinance
adopting and amending the cable television franchise granted by the Lake Minnetonka
Communications Commission("LMCC"). The City of Orono intends to withdraw from the LMCC
and has reached agreement on the terms and conditions of a new cable television franchise. This
ordinance amends the City's current LMCC franchise by striking all of its contents and replacing it
with the new cable franchise Ordinance No. 112.
The full text of Ordinance No. 112 is available from the City Administrator or City Clerk at
Orono City Hall during regular business hours.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono that the City
Administrator or City Clerk keep a copy of the ordinance in his/her office at City Ha11 for public
inspection and that he/she post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the City.
ADOPTED and APPROVED for publication this 12th�y of August ,2013,by
the City Council of the City of Orono,Minnesota.
