A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES
FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 4,2014
WHEREAS, Minnesota Election Law 204B.21 requires that persons serving as election
judges be appointed by the City Council at least 25 days before the election; and
WHEREAS, the Orono City Council herby appoints the judges named on Exhibit A,
hereto attached, as the official judges for the November 4, 2014 General Election, with the
understanding that amendments may be necessary to the appointments in order to fill vacancies
and meet party splits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono
that the names listed on Exhibit A, hereto attached, are the official Election Judges for the City
of Orono, General Election on November 4, 2014
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appointed Election Judges shall be paid$8.50
per hour and Head Judges shall be paid $9.00 per hour, to carry out their duties at the polling
place and to attend required training. In addition, Head Judges shall be compensated for mileage
to pick up election supplies or deliver election returns at a rated allowed by the IRS (currently
$.56 per mile) per State Statue 204B.31 and reimbursed $10.00 for the use of their cell phone on
Election Day.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, at a regular meeting held
August 25, 2014.
