A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING
DON DEBAERE
FOR HIS EIGHTEEN YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE
TO THE CITY AS A PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE & SUPERVISOR
RESOLUTION NO. 6429
WHEREAS,Don DeBaere was appointed to the position of Public Works on June
28, 1996 and promoted to a Public Works Supervisor on October 1, 2004; and
WHEREAS,Don DeBaere has orchestrated the Orono cleanup days program in
the spring for Orono residents; and
WHEREAS, Don DeBaere has been in charge of organizing the leaf and grass
cleanup programs for Orono in the spring and fall; and
WHEREAS,Don DeBaere has overseen the day-to-day operations of the streets and
parks departments; and
WHEREAS,Don DeBaere has been in charge of purchasing equipment and in
charge of equipment maintenance for all the public works vehicles and machinery; and
WHEREAS,his years of service as Public Works employee have been
characterized by his dedication to providing the highest quality service to the city and its
citizens; and
WHEREAS,Don DeBaere is resigning from his position as Public Works
Supervisor effective,August 29, 2014.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does
hereby recognize and commend Don DeBaere for his leadership, and dedicated service to
the community as a Public Works employee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does hereby extend
its best wishes to Don DeBaere.
Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held this
25th day of August, 2014.
