A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES
FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION
TO BE HELD AUGUST 12,2014
WHEREAS, Minnesota Election Law 204B.21 requires that persons serving as
election judges be appointed by the City Council at least 25 days before the election; and
WHEREAS,the Orono City Council hereby appoints the judges named on
Exhibit A, hereto attached, as the official judges for the August 12, 2014 Primary Election, with
the understanding that amendments may be necessary to the appointments in order to fill
vacancies and meet party splits.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of
Orono that the names listed on Exhibit A, hereto attached, are the official Election Judges for the
City of Orono, Primary Election on August 12, 2014.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appointed Election Judges shall be paid
$8.50 per hour, and Head Election Judges shall be paid $9.00 per hour, to carry out their duties at
the polling place and to attend required training, plus shall be compensated for mileage to pick up
election supplies or to deliver election returns at a rate allowed by the IRS (currently$.56 per
mile) per State Statute 204B.31.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, at a regular meeting held
June 23, 2014.
