RESOLUTION #678
A RESOLUTION RELOCATING MTC BUS STOP
AT NAVARRE
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is creating a park and
ride area for citizens' convenience who park their cars and
ride the Metropolitan Transit Commission busses to their
destination, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to change the present bus
stop to an area convenient to the Navarre Parking Lot located
on the north side of County Road #15, and
WHEREAS, this shelter is to be constructed on private
property on the south side of County Road #15, the Metropolitan
Transit Commission will work out an agreement with the property
owners for use of the property, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to change the location of
the bus stop as soon as possible due to the fact construction
will begin soon at the present bus stop location.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the new bus stop,
with shelter and bench, be located on the south side of County
Road #15, on private property where the Super Valu Store is
now located.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota,
at a regular meeting held April 26 , 1976.
