RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION OF $850
WHEREAS,the city of Orono is authorized by Minn. Stat. 465.03 to accept donations of real
and personal property for the benefit of its citizens and is specifically authorized to accept gifts.
WHEREAS,the city of Orono has authority under Minn. Stat. 471.17 to accept gifts and
donations for the benefit of the recreational service.
WHEREAS,the following Kevin Gomer has offered to donate $850 to the city:
WHEREAS,the donation has been donated to Orono for the benefit of its residents; and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council gratefully accepts $850
to be used for a park bench at the Orono Orchard Golf Course.
FURTHER, staff will issue a letter to the donor acknowledging receipt of the donation and
expressing appreciation.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on March
11, 2024.
