RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION OF FURNISHINGS
WHEREAS,the city of Orono is authorized by Minn. Stat. 465.03 to accept donations of real
and personal property for the benefit of its citizens and is specifically authorized to accept gifts;
WHEREAS,the following City of Chaska has offered to donate preowned office furniture,
appliances and other items with approximate value of$36,000 to Orono Fire Department;
WHEREAS,this donation is for the use by the Orono Fire Department;
WHEREAS,the donation is for the benefit of Orono residents; and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation.
NOW THEREFORE,BE'IT+RESOLVED that the Orono City Council gratefully accepts t
donated items to be used by the Orono Fire Department.
FURTHER,staff will issue a letter to the donor acknowledging receipt of the donation and
expressing appreciation.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono,Minnesota at a regular meeting held on March
11,2024.
