A resolution authorizing the exchange of
property within the City of Orono between
the City of Orono and Mr. Thomas Betz
WHEREAS, Mr. Tom Betz is desirous of transferring the title
to certain property which provides access to Lake Minnetonka in
order to induce the City of Orono to transfer a similar parcel to
Mr. Betz in order to assist Mr. Betz in the clearing of title
objections to his homestead, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer and staff have reviewed the
proposal and find that both parcels are similar in nature and that
the land use planning of the City will not be adversely affected
by such an exchange, and
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is desirous of assisting one
• of its citizens in removing title defects to his property at no
cost to the City of Orono,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk
Administrator be directed to and are authorized to execute the
attached quit claim deed granting to Mr. Thomas Betz certain pro-
perty owned by the City of Orono, and are authorized to receive
from Thomas Betz and Mr. Andrew Miner the property described in the
attached quit claim deeds in exchange for the property presently
owned by the City of Orono.
Passed this 12 day of January, 1976 by a vote of 4
ayes and 0 nays.
