HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
PROVIDING AN EXEMPTION FOR GOVERNMENT SIGNS IN THE RIGHT OF WAY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF ORONO ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 78-1466 shall be amended by adding text to read as follows:
(12) This Di��ision sl�all not ap��ly to Public sig�ls. Public si�ns. for the purposes of this scction
shall mean an �Lsign defined as a traffic control sign in the Hi�hwav Traffic ReQulation Act M.S.A.
�§ 169.97 et seq. any identification sign installed in a public park or public trail by a public
authorit�ny other informational identification re ug latory or warnin sg i�n placed bv the
United States State Count ,�� placed within their ri�ht of wav.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage and publication.
ADOPTED this l Oth day ofApril, 2017 on a vote of�ayes and�nays by the
City Council of Orono, Minnesota.
