RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7374
WHEREAS,on June 12,2023,the City Council of the City of Orono ("City Council")adopted
Resolution 7374,which is attached to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to clarify its direction to City Staff concerning the Navarre Fire
Station and the end of the Contract for Fire Protection between the City of Orono and the City of
Long Lake;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORONO,MINNESOTA:
Paragraph No.2 of Resolution No. 7374 is hereby amended to read as follows:
2. City Staff is directed to work collaboratively with City Staff from the City of Long Lake,
including the Long Lake Fire Department, concerning the end of the City of Orono's
participation in the Contract for Fire Protection with the City of Long Lake and the City
of Medina.Further, City Staff shall coordinate with the City Staff from the City of Long
Lake, including the Long Lake Fire Department, to ensure a smooth transition pursuant
to the terms of the Contract for Fire Protection,including the orderly disposition of major
equipment and orderly transition of fire stations.
ADOPTED this 10th day of July, 2023, by the City Council of the City of Orono.
