HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-10-22 Council MinutesVILLAGE OF ORONO Regular Meeting of the Village Council, October 22, 1974 The Village Council wet on the above date with the following members present: Itayor Searles, Councilman Butler, Massengale, Paurus, and Welsh. Butler moved, Welsh seconded, that the tiinutes of the Regular Meeting of October 8, 1974, be approved. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). Mr. John Crosby, candidate for the office of State Representative,introduced himself to the Council and attending public. Butler moved, Massengale seconded, to approve +'ze appointment of Mr. Walter Lathrop to the Park Commission replacing Mr. George Hastny, past Park Commission member, whose bsnu expires December 31, 1975. Notion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). I -Ir. Brad Van Nest, Planning Commission member, discussed with the City Council the proposed zoning incorporating the land use plan, the classification of streets, and the formulation of official maps. The City engineer was instructed by the City Council to work with the Planning Comission on these matters. Paurus moved, Butler seconded, to refund to Van Dale, Inc. the permit fee, State fee, and SAC charges totaling $1,000.00. Van Dale, Inc. has withdrawn its request to construct a ware- house at this time. Hotion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). Butler moved, Paurus seconded, to grant the variance for Donald Ekeberg, 1056 Loma Linda Avenue, conditioned on a one-year statute of limitation. This lot is a lot of record in single separate ownership with sewer available. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). Or. C. 4080 Bayside Road, requested to be removed frac the agenda at this time, Paurus moved, Butler seconded, to grant a conditional use permit for ButterfielC Flowers, 3743 Watertown Road, to place a sign according to submitted design and conditioned on meeting the zoning standards of a 10' setback from any lot lines. !Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . 7:40 P.
