VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, <br />October 22, 1974 <br />The Village Council wet on the above date with <br />the following members present: Itayor Searles, <br />Councilman Butler, Massengale, Paurus, and <br />Welsh. <br />Butler moved, Welsh seconded, that the tiinutes <br />of the Regular Meeting of October 8, 1974, be <br />approved. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br />Mr. John Crosby, candidate for the office of <br />State Representative,introduced himself to the <br />Council and attending public. <br />Butler moved, Massengale seconded, to approve <br />+'ze appointment of Mr. Walter Lathrop to the <br />Park Commission replacing Mr. George Hastny, <br />past Park Commission member, whose bsnu expires <br />December 31, 1975. Notion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br />I -Ir. Brad Van Nest, Planning Commission member, <br />discussed with the City Council the proposed <br />zoning incorporating the land use plan, the <br />classification of streets, and the formulation <br />of official maps. The City engineer was <br />instructed by the City Council to work with <br />the Planning Comission on these matters. <br />Paurus moved, Butler seconded, to refund to <br />Van Dale, Inc. the permit fee, State fee, and <br />SAC charges totaling $1,000.00. Van Dale, Inc. <br />has withdrawn its request to construct a ware- <br />house at this time. Hotion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br />Butler moved, Paurus seconded, to grant the <br />variance for Donald Ekeberg, 1056 Loma Linda <br />Avenue, conditioned on a one-year statute of <br />limitation. This lot is a lot of record in <br />single separate ownership with sewer available. <br />Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br />Or. C. 4080 Bayside Road, requested to <br />be removed frac the agenda at this time, <br />Paurus moved, Butler seconded, to grant a <br />conditional use permit for ButterfielC Flowers, <br />3743 Watertown Road, to place a sign according <br />to submitted design and conditioned on meeting <br />the zoning standards of a 10' setback from any <br />lot lines. !Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br />7:40 P.
