RSt Request For ?oning Variance
Ge -it lemen t
I own anproximately sixteen acres of land in the Village of Orono, at the northwest
corner or the intersection of Bayside Road and County 135. On this property
Is a thirty year old home on Payside Road, the address of which is 4080.
A young counle, residents of Orono, !fir. & Mrs. Kim Wanner, :-,ish to buy this home
for a price of $31,500.00. It is our hope that we can ubtain a zoning exception
to permit the sell of this home with one acre of land, preferably, or with two
acres of land at the very maximum. "!e believe this zoning exception is justified
for the following reasonst
1. The home is located directly on and facing Bayside Road and is bordered
on the ~vest by a deep ravine and on the north and east by very steep hills,
leaving approximately 2/3 of an acre of usable land for a yard.
2. A home of this price ranUe nurchased with more than one acre of land in
this particular area would result in a markedly disproportionate
Investment in land for a homestead.
3. The home is thirty years old and was never built with the intention
of being a part of a hobby farm or a small estate.
If we can obtain this variance, the remaining fifteen acres of land would be
Ideally suited for division into 3 five acre parcels on ono of which I look
forward to building a hone.
If any further information will help in arriving at a proper decision, I will do
my best to provide same.
Thank you for your consif'eration in this matter.
Sincerely yours,
Clinton C. Berg, M. D.
