1. Percolation Rate, Type of System.
20.0 minutes per inch. Shallow Trench System.
2. Proposed Flow Rate.
2 bedrooms 0 150 G.P.D. = 300 G.P.C.
3. Soil Treatment Area Required.
2.0 percolation factor .r 300 G.P.U. = 600 Sq. Ft. F+nimum. However, it is
recommended that 750 Sq. Ft. be installed at this time.
4. Size and Number of Trenches.
3 trenches 3 feet wide and 83.3 feet long = 750 Sq. Ft. These trenches would
be spaced 7.5 feet apart center to center and no deeper than I foot deep in
the natural soil, unless an interceptor drain is used to lower the water
table. The trenches are shown more toward soil boring # 2 which had a lower
water table, since near soil boring q 1, they could only be 0.5 feet deep
in the natural soil. Some fill will be needed over the top if an interceptor
drain is not used.
5. Drainfreld Rock Needed.
28 cubic yds. of rock is needed to have 6 inches under and 2 inches over a
4 inch distribution pipe.
6. Septic Tanks.
Iwo septic tanks exist. These should be checked tc, lee if they are in com-
pliance

7. Additional Information.
All construction and materials must adhere to the provisions of Lire City of
Orono. All construction traffic must be kept from the drainfield site and
runoff water should be diverted.trom the drainfiLld area.
