A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO
EMPLOYEE BARRY RATHBUN
FOR HIS THIRTY 34 YEARS & 10 MONTHS OF DEDICATED SERVICE
RESOLUTION NO. 7349
WHEREAS,Barry Rathbun was appointed as a Public Works Maintenance
Worker on July 6th, 1988; and
WHEREAS,Barry's has for 34 years & 10 months expertly maintained the City's
streets, sanitary sewers, water systems, storm sewers and parks; and
WHEREAS,Barry's service has been characterized by his ingenuity, dedication,
"can do" spirit and teamwork; and
WHEREAS, Barry has developed and displayed outstanding technical skills in the
execution of his duties; and
WHEREAS,Barry set the example for his fellow public servants with his positive
attitude, calm demeanor and service focus; and
WHEREAS,Barry Rathbun's 34 years & 10 months of service have been
characterized by his dedication to providing the highest quality service to the city and its
citizens; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the Orono City Council, staff
and residents wish to extend their utmost appreciation and gratitude to Barry Rathbun for
his service to the community as a Public Works Maintenance Worker.
Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held this
21st day of March 2023.
