Re: Workshop Above Garage at 4740 Bayside Road
Dear Ms. Yogerst & Mr. Dunn:
The Building 6 Zoning Department is in receipt of your
application for a building permit, to add a workshop above the
garage at the above referenced property. Because this building
is over a 1,000 s.f. the City Codi requires that you meet
setbacks of a principal structure, which would be 100, from the
rear lot line in your zoning district. ':herefore, to construct
this workshop it would require a variance from the City code. An
alternative to the variance would be to cut down the size of the
existing building to less then a 1,000 s.f. Enclosed is a
variance application for your review. Please advise staff of
the direction you wish to take in this matter.
