This will confirm a telephone discussion between Mr. Allen Olson, City Building
Inspector and tlyself on February 18 concerning the disposal of sewage at "Ski -
Tonka" in the City of Orono. It was reported to this office by an anonymous
caller on February 17 that there is a malfunctioning sewage disposal system
serving one of the housing units.
It is understood from the discussion that city officials will take prompt ac-
tion to investigate the situation, and in the event violations of federal,
state or local water pollution control laws or regulations are found, proceed
with whatever further actions may be necessary to obtain corrective measures
within a reasonable time.
This office will appreciate being informed in writing within 30 days as to the
findings of the investigation, and later when any necessary corrective actions
have been completed.
