Box 66
Crystal Bay, MN 55323
Dear Mr. Olson:
We are writing to challenge, and indeed, to protest strongly, the proposed
Record Lot determinations of our two properties on Big Island, because
such determinations would
1. Seriously decrease the value of proposed Record Lot 024; and
2. Disproportionately increase the value of and taxes on proposed
Record Lot 027.
We own two properties on Big Island, each consisting of three lakefront
parcels and one interior parcel, and each of approximately the same value.
1. One property (formerly owned by Gus Roos) includes three lake
shore parcels and one small interior parcel, and is currently
valued (EMV) at $35,300.
2. The second, adjoining, propert formerly oimed by Sam Chase)
includes three lake shore Iantf one large interior parcel,
and is currently valued (EMV) at $37,900.
At these values, and with these lake shore parcels, both properties are
equally - and very highly - desirable to ourselves and to prospective,
future "islanders."
The proposed determinations would drastically change the desirability and
values of both properties.
Record Lot 027 would include five (5) lake shore parcels (two (2) of them
taken away from the other property and added onto this one), and no
interior parcels.
Record Lot 024 would be left with only one (1) lake shore parcel, and would
be stuck with both (2) interior parcels.
The value of Lot 024 would be seriously damaged; while the value of Lot
A Svv" of AMERICAN CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY FOUNDATION.
