This is the "famous" home on Stubbs Bay which due to a surveyor's error, was constructed on the County right-of-way. Because the new garage would be a few feet onto the County right -of way, permission should be obtained from them. If written permission is not obtained, I would recommend that a variance be granted to build right up to the lot line. Since the road is not located on the actual right-of-way, and a surveyor's error was made in the location of the home. a variance seeas justified.
