Septic System Application
Dear Tom:
As you requested by phone on August 5, 1977, I have reviewed
the subject septic system application as prepared by Mr. Philip
Pins cf Eugene A,Hickok and Associates, Inc. The application
indicates the percolations averaged 90 minutes per inch. As such,
the proposed site is unaccentable for a standard septic system. The
existing standards allows a minimum percolation rate of 60
minutes per inch.
My recommendation is to deny the permit as submitted and
either (1) request additional percolation tests and a revised design
based on an alternate site, or (2) have the applicant submit a design
for a mound system at the site already tested. If an alternate
site with better percolation rates is available, we would recommend
this alternative to a mound system.
Very_ truly yours,
ASSOCIATES, INC.
