Dear Melanie:
We have reviewed the plans for a proposed new home construction at 200 Bederwood Drive.
The plans are dated 9-1-09. We have the following comments with regards to engineering
matters:
• The proposed house will not significantly alter the existing surface drainage patterns that
direct runoff to the Luce Line Trail right of way and shared driveway. The plans show
reduced overall hardcover which will generate less runoff.
• This project will disturb more than 25, but less than 100 cubic yard of material.
Sediment and erosion control information meeting the requirements of Orono's City Code
79-7(c)(1) must be submitted. The minimum $2000 sediment and erosion control
financial security should be required of the applicant for this permit.
