Art Kelson - Division of Lot 25, Shorohills tabled a month ago for
opinions from his neighbors.
Roy Starkey - division continued from a meeting throe months ago when
VO arked for a plat from Hennepin County Park system showing their
holdings in the area of Mr. Starkey's property. To refresh your
memory, he was dividing his house off of his property, the rest to
go into the Hennepin County Park system.
Robert Birkoland <■ Division
This property is on the northeast comer of Wildhurst Trail end County
fl9» It has been before the Planning Coranissioa at various tiroes.
First for a division into one acre in 1969. This was never finalized.
He was before us in 1969 for fill permits which wore granted. Ho
was before us in 1970 for reroning from R-IC to R-in, which was
denied.
I am enclosing a cupy of his proposed division and a copy of the half
section map to endeavor to show you tire density of the surrounding
area,
Gary Curtis • Garage setback variance
Gary Curtis, 1305 Spruce Place.is asking for a garage setback variance.
Ho will not have his material in until Monday, but could not wait
until the Docombor 13, 1971 mooting as this would place tho construction
to the end of December, which Is too late. Will send inforir:.tion
under separate cover.
Comprehousive Sever Plan
A scv;or projection for 1971-1980 was submitted a month ago.
Council would also like recoramondations on this.The Village

Members continued the study of do.isity

attended by Councilnan Dora and Mayor
Oborhnuser. Coianentiug from tao audience:
Bard Van Nest and John Ericson.
Soutaworth noved, Elliott secondod, tiiat there
should be four community seminars according
to voting districts to get an overall
input of Village thinking and to intelligently
inform the taxpayers of the probloas involved
in density proolens.After they are so informed,
if they would like, tiien we should start
enacting a PUD ordinance with the help of tho
Planner and Village Attorney so wo would have
complete control of this type of density. ’otion.

The secretary pointed out areas projected for

Poisson moved, Soutaworth seconded, that a
conittee of four be set up to make a study
of the sewer situation and make a reoort to
the Village Council; also, t.iat the secretary
bo instructed to forward a nap showing the
engineer's projection to each of the members.

Gasch, Kuiileneier, hyerse, and Southwortii
volunteered services.
A 5-minute recess was celled.
A Robert Dirkeland represented himself in a
Ir' division of Lots 37 tiirough 45, Tonkaview,
into S lots. Members studied the half-section

application for a garage setback variance

who would be encroached on and his garage
would bo nowhere near any other structure.
He eavo the reason for asking for tlie
variance being the site is about the only
place be could put the needed garage as
tho house and sbptic placenent precluded
any other spot on Lot 14 and Lot 13, also
owned by him, dropped off too fast to
build a garage.
