Gasch moved, Southworth seconded, that the
Minutes of the January 3, 1972 meeting be
approved. Motion, Ayes (8) - Nays (0).
MINUTES
January 3, 1972
Elliott, Kyerse and Searles were duly sworn
in as Planning Commission members by Village
Administrator tlartin.
OATH OF OFFICE
Wayne VanderVort represented Margaret
Antoine in a division of property legally
described as Lot 26 and the south 30* of
Lot 27, Coffee's Addition to Shadywood,
Parcel 5400. The division call - for two
half-acre lots meeting the requirements of
the R-ID rone and one parcel 30* X approximately
>^^^ 330', which would not.
Searles moved, Ryerse seconded, that tentative
approval should be given, conditioned that the
30* on the plat as presented be shown as
legally combined with either Lot 27, the
property to the north or combined with parcels
1 or 2 as shown on the plat to meet the minimum
lot size. Motion, Ayes (8) - Nays (0).
DIVISION
Fagerness Point Road 4
Concordia Street
.lembers studied the Thorpe division of 10 acres
into two 5 acre parcels, on the half-section
map.
Southworth moved, Gasch seconded, that since
the plat met all the requirements of the
zoning ordinance and ordinance No. 132, that
approval should be recommended and owners
should be notified that further development
would require full compliance with the platting
ordinance. Motion, Ayes (8) - Nays (0).
DIVISION
3725 Watertown Road
Tne attorney for Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dorn
represented them in the reopening of a
conditional use permit apnlied for in
April 1, 1971, and withdrawn, asking for
permission to establish a children's day
camp for two summer sessions. The attorney
brought out that that to break even it would
be required that 32 children would have to be
in attendance at each session. He stated that

tha proposal should call for 40 children et
would be some new changes brought out at the
public eeeting.

Searles aoved, Southworth seconded, that a
public hearing be ordered before the Planning
Commission on February 7, 1972, at 7:30 P.M.
Motion, Ayes (8) - Nays (0).
Discussion was now held on t«* transportation
studies. Searles was of the r inion that
these studies should aove forward at each
■eeting so that direction froa the Planning
Coaaissioit and Village Council would be forth-
coaing when aeetings were held with County and
State Highway Departments. Also, the
possibility of using existing road beds, both
rail and highway, for purpose of rapid transit
on a large scale should be explored and the
transit companies should be approached with
the results of these studies to evaluate
the merits of these studies. Searles,
Southworth, Ryerse, and Gasch volunteered to
serve on a committee to do further study
along these lines.
TRANSPORTATION STUDY
Discussion was now held on having regular
Joint meetings with the Park Commission and Village Council.
JOINT MEETINGS
After a brief discussion on the various
possibilities for the usage of the Luce
Line Railroad,
Ryerse moved, Southworth seconded, that the
meeting be adjourned at 9:30 P.N. Motion.
Ayes (8) - Nays (0).
