1. Percolation Rate, Type of System.
22.0 minutes per inch, Shallow Trench System with interceptor drain.
2. Proposed Flow Rate.
5 possible bedrooms 0 150 6.P.D. = 750 6.P.D.
3. Soil Treatment Area Required.
1.67 percolation factor x 750 G.P.D. = 1250 Sq. Ft.
4. Size and Humber of Trenches.
5 trenches 3 feet wide and 83.3 feet long = 1250 Sq^,«EU* Ili?5U_yan|hes
would be spaced a minimum of 7.5 feet apart and bg^O.5 feet deep in^e
natural soil. . . ....
5. Drainfield Rock Needed.
46.3 cubic yds. of rock is needed to have 6 inches under and 2 inches over
a 4 inch distribution pipe. Black loam fill will be’needed over the top of
the trenches.
6. Septic Tanks.
Two septic tanks, of at least 1000 and 750 gallons are needed. In addition,
a third pumping tank and pump will be needed to reach the higher drainfield

7. Additional Information. '
All construction and materials must adhere to the provisions of the City of
Orono. Both the primary and alternate sites must be kept free from construe--
tion traffic and grading since the alternate site may be needed.at some
r future time. An interceptor draintile should be used to divert runoff water
from the drainfield site.
