RESOLUTION ACCEPTING TRANSFER OF PROPERTY
WHEREAS,Lawrence E.Gleason and Rosemary C.Gleason,husband and wife,("Owners")
maintained a life estate interest in real property as described on the attached Exhibit A("Property");
and
WHEREAS, Owners' life estate interest in the Property terminates when the Owners no
longer reside in the Home or on the Property,pursuant to the Life Estate Agreement between City
and Owners,dated June 14, 2016; and
WHEREAS,Owners wish to transfer the Property to the City of Orono ("City)by Quit
Claim Deed; and
WHEREAS,the City desires to accept the transfer of Property.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORONO,MINNESOTA:
1. The City Council hereby accepts the transfer by Owners of their interest in a life estate in
real property as described on the attached Exhibit A.
2. The Mayor and City staff are authorized and directed to execute all documents, and to
take all appropriate measures,to accept the transfer of Property.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of January, 2023, by the City Council of the City of Orono.
