Dear Mr. McCoy;
I am in receipt of your letter dated November 1, 1982,
I want to clarify one point that you made in that letter,
specifically that the City had refused your variance request.
My letter of 9-10-82 simply contained my responses to your
questions and certainly implied no official action. The
Orono Planning Commission is merely a recommending body
to the Council. The Orono Council has the sole authority
for acting on such variance requests and to my knowledge
you have never filed a formal variance application regarding
the buildability of Tracts A, R, T and U with the City.
Please contact my office if you have any further
questions regarding this matter.
