1997 Tent Camping and Reservation Rules <br /> BIG ISLAND VETERANS CAMP on Lake Minnetonka (612) 474-1958 <br /> 1997 Season: May 1 to September 30 on Weekends (Fri. Sat . & Sun. ) <br /> Also Open May 26, July 7, and September 1, 1997) <br /> THE BIG ISLAND VETERANS CAMP IS A FAMILY ORIENTED REST CAMP. <br /> IT IS MANDATED FOR VETERANS AND THEIR GUESTS . EVERY EFFORT <br /> WILL BE MADE TO ENSURE THAT GUESTS ARE RESPECTFUL AND QUIET <br /> 1) Veterans can obtain a Day Pass to visit the Camp during the day. <br /> PASSES ARE TO BE SOLD/OBTAINED AT THE CAMP OFFICE <br /> A) A Veteran Family Season Day Pass is $20 . 00 <br /> B) A Veteran Individual Season Pass is $10 . 00 <br /> C) A One-Day-Pass is $2 . 00, PER PERSON, PER DAY. <br /> Any day pass entitles a Veteran to use the Camp picnic shelter <br /> from 10 : 00 am to 6 : 00 pm CAMP SITES MUST BE RENTED SEPARATELY <br /> 2) Veterans must pay an additional fee to rent a camp site. <br /> CAMP SITES (1-30) MAY BE RENTED BY REGISTERING AT CAMP OFFICE <br /> 3) CAMP MAPS, ARE AVAILABLE AT THE CAMP OFFICE, which identify <br /> the location of each of the 1-30 camp sites. Most camp sites <br /> have 1 fire ring and 1 picnic table. Fires are restricted to <br /> fire rings . Fires must be tended and fully extinguished prior <br /> to departing. <br /> 4) PLEASE CHECK IV AT THE CAMP OFFICE. The site is not considere3 <br /> rented to anyone until the registration form/receipt is <br /> completed. At the�time of registration, you will receive two <br /> trash bags . You are expected to remove all trash when you <br /> depart <br /> 5) Veterans can rent 1 of 30 Camp Sites ($10 . 00 per tent-per date} <br /> Check in time is Noon on the rented date for each site <br /> Check out time is 9-10 : 00 a.m. on the following date <br /> If there�:are three tents on one site, the fee is $30 . 00 . <br /> � <br /> 6) Veterans can advance reserve a specific camp site for a specific <br /> date by returning the application on the Camp Brochure AND <br /> including a $10 . 00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit . That site will <br /> then be held until 6 : 00 P.M. on that date . If the person does <br /> not check in at the Camp Office by 6 : 00 P.M. , the camp site <br /> will be released at 6 : 01 P.M. The NON-REFUNDABLE deposit <br /> can NOT be transferred to another site or date . This deposit <br /> can NOT be applied toward payment of other fees/expenses . <br /> 7) Pets must be restxained and Dogs must be on leases . <br /> , <br /> 8) Quiet time begins at 10 : 00 P.M. Al1 Radios, Loud Noises, and <br /> recorded or live music can NOT be played at a level to be heard <br /> at the adjoining camp site . <br /> 9) Acholic beverages may NOT be consumed on the Veterans Camp . <br />
