RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> z�� � x.�..� � <br /> �-� C�'; s ,�`„- NO. 2162 <br /> �-; � : <br /> �� 1�,� . <br /> ��l�� Qt*' <br /> r <br /> �ti����. <br /> A RESOLIITIOPI GRANTING <br /> A TEMPOR�IRY CONDITIONAL IISE PERMIT <br /> PER A�iUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br /> SECTIOAI 10.31, SUBDIVISION 3 (D) <br /> FILE #1122 <br /> WHEREAS, Edward Morrow, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Big <br /> Island Veteran's Camp (hereinafter "the applicant") has an interest in the <br /> property located on Big Island, Lake biinnetonka within the City of Orono <br /> (hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Government Lot One (1 ) , Section Fourteen (14 ) , Township One Hundred <br /> Seventeen (117) , Range Twenty-Three (2 3) ; and Government Lot Two (2) , <br /> Section Twenty-Three (23) , Township One Hundred Seventeen (117) , Range <br /> Twenty-Three (23) ; and That part of Government Lot Three (3) , Section <br /> Twenty-Three (23) , Township One Hundred Seventeen (117) , Range Twenty- <br /> Three (23) , commencing at the Northeast corner of said Government Lot <br /> Three (3) , Section Twenty-Three (23) ; thence Southwesterly along the <br /> lake shore to the Northeast corner of Lot A, Niorse Island Park; thence <br /> South 350 feet to Lake Minnetonka ; thence East along the shore of Lake <br /> Minnetonka to the East line of said Lot three (3) ; thence North to the <br /> place of beginning, (hereinafter "property") ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City of Orono for a <br /> Conditional Use Permit to permit the temporary overnight camping of workers <br /> in-. olved in the cleanup of the property per Municipal Zoning Code Section <br /> 10.31, Subdivision 3 (D) . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City - Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1122. <br /> 2. The property is located in the RS, Seasonal Recreational District. <br /> 3. On March 16, 1987, the Orono Planning Commission reviewed the <br /> first phase of a three phased Comprehensive Redevelopment Plan for the <br /> Big Island Veteran's Camp and recommended approval of a temporary <br /> conditional use permit to permit overnight camping at the facility for <br /> a limited period of time based on one or more of the following <br /> findings : <br /> A) The property consists of 57 acres and can provide adequate <br /> camping area for a crew of 57 workers.
