No 627 — State License #394 — Phone 763-497-3566 — Fax 763-497-5011 www.st)testing.wastewaterffi)comcast.net — schirmerswastewater.com Revised July 28, 2022 October 5, 2021 Pat Spencer 501 N. Ferndale Rd. Orono, MN A compliance inspection was completed for the existing on-site sewage treatment system for installing a new pump tank. The system consists of 2-1000 gallon septic tanks, 1-1000 gallon pump tank & a trench system with 7 trenches 50' long each, 3501in.ft. = 1050 sq.ft. of gravelless pipe, built in 1996. Soil boring #1 found mottled soil (redox features) at 5.31, elev. 95.0 & the bottom of the lowest gravelless pipe at elev. 98.9 leaving a 3.9' separation from the bottom of the gravelless pipe & redox features. Soil boring #2 found mottled soil at 61, elev. 93.7 & the bottom of the lowest gravelless pipe at elev. 98.6 leaving a 4.9' separation. This system meets the required 3' separation & is classified as in compliance with Minnesota Chapter 7080 rules. This site has an existing on-site sewage treatment system. The pump tank is plastic & the side wall is pushing in. Due to the limited access, the tank will need to be pumped & removed & install a new Infiltrator IM 1060 (1000 gallon) in the same foot print. Using the lowest floor at elev. 100.0, the ground at the 2"d tank is at elev. 99.3 & the top of the tank (2') is at elev. 97.3. The existing pump tank is at elev. 93.2 & the top of the tank (1.11) is at elev. 92.1. The top of the new tank must be at the (2') elev. 91.2.. Prior to installing the new pump tank, a tank Integrity report will need to be completed for the 1St & 2"d tanks. Upon those tanks passing the system can be fully classified as compliant. Steven B.
