Thanks for taking the time to ask questions before the meeting. I appreciate it.
The Planning Commission will receive copies of all information submitted, including Mr. Sherman's comments and the petition when the informational packet is distributed later today.
(I noted that Mr. Sherman's comments included online responses to a petition, as well as hand signatures, and later, an updated online petition was provided. The Planning Commission
received the updated petition. I am the planning staff assigned to this application, and I have received Mr. Sherman's statements.
Recognizing that there may be a number of people wishing to speak, the Chair will likely ask that comments of individual speakers be limited to 5 minutes. Each person in attendance
may speak, but I often see the chair ask that comments reflecting new points of interest be made, rather than everybody repeating the same thing.
The meeting starts at 6:30 pm. Enter through the door marked Council Chambers. The agenda and supporting information will be published later today on the city website. It is hard
to predict when the Commission will get to this item, but the items in front do not seem very controversial.
I do feel the Commission is astute enough to recognize community discontent; Neither I nor any Commission member will say people cannot/ should not speak, I suggest that comments be
limited to points of interest not previously covered.

I'm not certain you are the correct person for this query. If not, could you please direct me?
As you are aware, there are a large number of people concerned about the Freshwater development proposal. These people would like to speak and/or have their voices heard at the upcoming
Planning Commission meeting, June 19th.
I have a couple of questions, and request some guidance:
Has Kirk Sherman's: "Opposition to Proposed Rezoning of, and Master Development Plan for, 2520 Shadywood Road" been provided to the Planning Commission members, or, will we need to provide
this document to them during our "public comment" period at the meeting?
Has Mr. Sherman's Opposition paper been provided to the group of people assigned to advise the Planning Commission, or, will we need to provide them this document?
What is the proper protocol for this meeting? If I understand correctly that there will be time for public comment at this meeting? If so, how long will an individual be allowed to
speak, and do we need to pre-alert you to our desire for time?
What time will the meeting begin, and what is the anticipated time the public comment portion of the meeting will occur?
There are now more than 200 signatures on petition from community members in strong opposition to this development. Understanding the right for public input may clash with a desire
for an efficient meeting, do you feel the Commission is astute enough to recognize the community discontent through the presence and voice of just a few persons, or do you believe the
Commission would prefer to hear from as many people who are available?
