Dear Mr. Schneck :
It has come to the attention of this Department that you have
recently constructed a deck on your property at 2230 Bayview Place .
This letter is to inform you that the City of Orono requires
building permits for the construction of decks .
Therefore, the City must require you to submit the enclosed permit
application along with 2 sets of building plans, hardcover
calculations and a survey showing the location of the deck. A
review will be conducted and if the deck is in compliance with the
Building and Zoning Codes then a permit can be issued. A deadline
of June 28 , 1995 has been established for submittals .

Dear Mr. Oman,
As we discussed on the phone this morning, I am requesting an
extension of the lune 28th deadline for the building pertnit submittals
your office has required. Due to the difficufty I am having in reaching
the surveyor and setting up a time when he can do the job, additional
time is needed to complete the submittals.

Dear Mr. Schneck:
On June 13, 1995 this office notified you of the requirement for a building permit for a deck you
constructed on your property at 2230 Bayview Place. As of this date, a permit application has
not been submitted.
Therefore the City must require you to submit an application before September 20, 1995. If this
deadline is not met, the City will initiate legal action. If you have any questions, feel free to
